Watching the presentation at the historic Le Réfectoire des Cordeliers, I was once again convinced that fashion has long transcended simple utility. This season, Georgian designer Pridon Niguriani unveiled the “Fashion is Art” collection, which masterfully blurs the boundaries between sartorial design and pure art.
Every look on the runway is a wearable masterpiece. I was particularly impressed by the hand-painted elements and the sculptural approach to detail. Massive mustard-colored knit textures, hyperbolized scarves, and theatrical macrame masks create a mystical yet absolutely modern silhouette. The combination of dark blue denim embroidered with golden leaves and loose-fitting pinstripe trousers demonstrates a bold play on visual contrasts.
The accessories deserve special attention. Fantastic headpieces made of massive golden chains do not just complement the looks—they engage in an open dialogue with the audience, turning models into performers. It is important to note that the brand remains true to the principles of sustainability: all accessories were created through upcycling. This is exactly the level of innovative craftsmanship and eco-conscious design that the industry needs right now.
Fashion is a canvas, and the new LEM collection is a bright and uncompromising confirmation of this.
